If you’ve recently gone gluten free — whether due to coeliac disease, gluten sensitivity, or just curiosity — you’ve probably heard a lot of conflicting opinions. 🙄
The gluten free world is full of advice, some helpful… and some? Not so much.
So let’s bust a few of the most common myths floating around in 2025. Because you deserve clarity, not confusion.
❌ Myth 1: “Gluten free is automatically healthier.”
Not exactly. Just because something is labelled gluten free doesn’t automatically mean it’s healthier — but it does mean it's safe for those who need it. That said, gluten-free treats can still be indulgent, rich, and delicious while fitting into a balanced lifestyle. ❌ Myth 3: “One little bite won’t hurt.”
For those with coeliac disease, one little bite can mean days (or weeks!) of inflammation, pain, and gut damage.
✅ Truth: It’s not about being picky — it’s medical. Respecting someone’s gluten-free needs is non-negotiable.
❌ Myth 4: “Gluten free food is bland and boring.”
No way! Gone are the days of dry, crumbly gluten-free options. With the right ingredients, gluten-free food can be rich, indulgent, and satisfying.
